Helpful Resources for Self-Care
Shoes Matter!
Your feet are a critical component of whole-body health. Shoes have a tremendous effect on your body. Most conventional shoes are causing more harm than good (even though some of them are so darn cute!) Think about transitioning to foot-healthy shoes, your body will thank you for it!
AnyasReviews.com has great layperson information about foot health and she reviews all the styles.
NutritiousMovement.com (Katy Bowman) is also a foot expert.
Precision Movement/ROM COACH
Coach Eric Wong(kinesiologist) and Dr Erin Boynton (surgeon) show how to heal injuries and keep our bodies strengthened and conditioned.
If you have an injury, I recommend looking here for exercises you learn to do yourself.
A Dynamic Workstation
There is no perfect chair or perfect way of sitting. The body needs movement. Change your body positioning often. Avoid being sedentary (being in the same position for long periods of time).
Hanging is a natural movement we need for healthy and strong spine, neck, shoulders, and whole body.
If you have a shoulder, hand, or wrist injury be cautious and listen to your body.
Exercise is not Movement.
