Motor Vehicle Accident

MVA

If you are injured in a car accident in Oregon, you are entitled to seek massage therapy from a provider of your choice.

Oregon is one of only a handful of states that require auto insurance companies to provide Personal Protection Injury (PIP) of $15,000 per accident.

This means you can choose to see a massage therapist, physical therapist, acupuncturist, and/or chiropractor for treatment of injuries for up to one year or until the PIP is exhausted. You are covered regardless of who is at fault and regardless of final settlement and even if you are a pedestrian or cyclist that is injured in the accident and/or do not have car insurance.

Massage therapy treatments for car accidents must be approved by a doctor, acupuncturist or chiropractor for me to bill the auto insurance.

I share office space with Dr. Robin Schaeffer at Healthy & Happy Life Clinic. She is both a chiropractor and acupuncturist. Click here for her contact info.
